Expert Pre University College Valachil Celebrates 37th Annual Day

Mangaluru: The annual gala event 37th ‘EXPERT DAY’ commemorating the inception of Expert (Dec 29) was celebrated at Valachil campus amidst jubilation and great zeal.

Mr. Ullas Kamath, founder of UK & Co, Chairman, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry-Karnataka State Council was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering he said, “The next 25 years belong to India. Today, nearly 30% of the CEOs running the world’s operations are Indians. There is a good tail wind and a positive tide in the country and present generation of students are lucky to be in the right period.” In his brilliant inspirational discourse he urged the students to be disciplined, focused and not to procrastinate as one cannot get yesterday and cannot touch tomorrow. He also advised the students that being the best in life should be one’s long term goal and should be guided by good character and values.

Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman Expert Group of Institutions, in his presidential address, he attributed the success of Expert to the good team work of teachers and hard work of the dedicated students. He expressed his pleasure in having Mr Ullas Kamath as the chief guest as he is an inspiring figure to the student community.

Dr. Ushaprabha N. Nayak, Vice Chairperson, Expert group of Institutions in her keynote address stated that there have been extraordinary efforts behind Expert being extraordinary and the  occasion of Expert day is not only about celebrating our scholastic success but also to remember and thank each and every individual connected with Expert and contributed to our growth.

Trustee, Ustad Rafique Khan, CA, Mr S.S. Nayak, CA and auditor of the institution, Mr. M Jagannath Kamath, IT Director, Mr Ankush N.  Nayak, Expert Group of Institutions, Architect,  Ms Deepika A. Nayak, Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, Principal, Expert P.U.College Kodialbail campus; Master Ayush S.N., President of Student Parliament, Ms Vaishnavi Kulkarni, General Secretary of student parliament  were present on the dais.

Dr. N.K. Vijayan Karippal, Principlal, extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and the audience.

The formal program began with the college anthem and lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Mr Subramanya Udupa, Vice Principal (academics) presented the annual report of the college.

The rank holders of the previous academic year were felicitated. A computer with printer was donated to the Traffic Police Station of Mangaluru south as Part of the social responsibility.

Ustad Rafique Khan and Ms. Chaitra Nayak were felicitated on the occasion for composing the Expert Day theme song and choreographing student performances, respectively.

 

The Programme Director Ms Druthi V. Hegde proposed vote of thanks.

Master Shrikrishna and Ms Misty Nanjappa, students of first PUC compeered the formal function.

The formal function was followed by a colourful cultural extravaganza, featuring performances by students of the college.

At the end a sumptuous, delectable dinner was served by ‘Spices and Chefs‘.
