Parent Teacher Meeting Held at Expert PU College, Kodialbail

MANGALURU, Dec 4 : Expert PU College, Kodialbail convoked a meeting of the parents of I PU and II PU students separately at the college campus on 3rd and 4th December respectively.

The sole purpose of the meeting was to acquaint them of the various activities of the college, to prepare the students to face upcoming examinations and to seek their suggestions and feedback in enhancing their performance. It also aimed to enlist the parents’ cooperation in the effort to remediate any problem in the case of students having difficulties.

The meeting was presided over by Prof Narendra L Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions. He briefed the parents about the various activities and

measures that are being taken to prepare the students to achieve  their goals. He reminded the parents that students need to be serious about time management; they have to utilise every minute and not waste it in frivolous activities. The key however according to him is not just to work harder but to work smarter.

Dr.Ushaprabha N Nayak Vice-Chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions emphasized the role of parents and teachers in accomplishing the desired goal of the students. She reminded the parents to be vigilant of their wards at all times and help them to plan, prioritize and diligently execute the strategies employed by the teachers.

The Principal of Expert PU College, Prof. Ramachandra Bhat elaborated on the facilities and congenial atmosphere provided to the students in the college. Mr.Shyam Prasad, co-ordinator of AICE and Mr.Subramanya Udupa HOD of Mathematics familiarized the parents on preparation for competitive exams such as JEE Main, NEET and CET, Ar. Ms. Deepika A Nayak and Coaching Co-ordinator Mr.Karunakar Balkur were present on the occasion.

An interactive session followed wherein the queries of the parents regarding various issues pertaining to the academic performance of their wards were addressed.

 

Ms Niha Fahim Noor, lecturer in Chemistry compered the first session and Ms. Supritha  Rao, lecturer in English compered the second session.
