Mangaluru: “Aiming high is not a crime, but not working hard towards materialising the aim is a crime”, said Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions while delivering the presidential address at the joint session of Parents and Students Orientation programme held for the newly admitted students and their parents at Expert PU College Valachil, Mangaluru. He assured the parents that their wards will get the best of education in Expert with the state of the art facilities and congenial ambience available there. He said that it is a matter of pride for Expert P.U.College that more than 40%of its students is getting selected to the medical stream through NEET.
Dr.Ushaprabha N Nayak, Vice Chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions said that human life is governed by various rules and regulations which are always constructive and shape our life. She inducted the newly admitted students into the Expert family with an oath. She urged the parents to play a proactive role and to be vigilant.
Principal Dr. N. K. Vijayan Karippal addressed the gathering and presented a bird’s eye view of the norms of the institution. He also elaborated the principles that make one winner at Expert and opined that the discipline is an inevitable ingredient of a winner. There was an audio visual presentation depicting the glimpses of life at Expert.
Mr.Subrahmanya Udupa, HOD of Mathematics briefed the gathering about tests and examinations, academic matters, vacations and other activities in the campus. Mr.Shyam Prasad Bhat, Coordinator of AICE coaching classes spoke about the importance of All India Competitive Examinations and effective planning for them. There was an audio visual presentation on the NASA tour and other activities which are considered to be a lifetime experience for a student.
Mr.Ankush Nayak, Director, Information Technology, Mrs.Deepika A. Nayak, Yogaratna Shri GopalKrishna Delampady, were also present on the occasion.
Ms Dhruthi Hegde and Mrs Sheryl D’Souza of the department of Chemistry accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering and hosted the programme.
