“Kannada Culture has to be understood in the context of globalization, ecological degradation and democratic aspirations. Kannadigas must be empowered.”-said, Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, the Principal, Expert P. U. College, Kodialbail, Mangaluru, presiding over the Kannada Rajyothsava Celebration, which was held on Wednesday, 1st of November.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Karunakar Balkur, HOD of Kannada Department said -“Our biological mother has given life to us, where in Mother Bhuvaneshwari has given a persona to that life. One should never forget his mother, motherland and his teachers. We are blessed to be born in Karnataka State.”
The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and offering flowers to the portrait of Mother Bhuvaneshwari by the Principal and the dignitaries. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions which were held in connection with Kannada Rajyothsava Celebration. The program was followed by Cultural Events by the students.
Nireeksha compered the program. HOD of Chemistry Department, Mr. Manoj Shanubhog, HOD of Physics Department, Mr. Vijeth Nayak, Program Coordinators Mrs. Sukanya Sampath Mada and Mrs. Vidya Mohan were also present on the dais.
