On 1st November 2016 Diwali celebration was organized in Kootakala Auditorium, Kodailbail.
Dignitaries who presided over the programme were Prof Narendra L Nayak – Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, Mrs Ushaprabha N Nayak – Vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, Mr Ankush Nayak- Alumni of Expert College, Ustad Rafeeq Khan- Trustee, Expert Group of Institutions, Prof Ramachandra Bhat- Principal, Mr Pradeep Kumar- Academic Advisor, Ms Niha- Cultural Coordinator and people from Poorna Prajna Vasati Nilaya graced the occasion by their presence.
The programme began with lighting of lamp by dignitaries. Mrs Prafulla Mallya, retired principal, Poorna Prajna oldage home addressed the gathering and showered her blessings on all for bright future ahead.
“We need not borrow anything from history nor we need scientific reasons for celebrating Diwali. It is time for fun and enjoyment” said Mrs Ushaprabha N Nayak.
Shahbaz, student of 1st PU spoke on importance of Diwali.
Prof Narendra L Nayak addressed the students in Kannada and motivated them as a part of rajyotsav celebration as well.
Miss Naisargi of II Pu proposed the vote of thanks. It was then followed by Cultural fiesta. Students of Ist PU performed the Dandiya dance. On spot dandiya competition was conducted for students.
Winners were felicitated by Mrs Ushaprabha N Nayak and Mr Ankush Nayak.
